the rat race continues

back from the dead winter hybernation… with the packing, the relocation, the unpacking (still a great deal of boxes to unpack, but we can function, so we are getting lazy to unpack the remaining ones…), hubby starting a new job, jon starting at a new pre-school, getting used and enjoying our new surroundings, quick trip to zimbabwe, all of these factors limited my blogging time. but we continue to put together lunchbox on a weekly basis. same procedure as last year :)

Actually, have you ever tried muffins? I’m a Spanish-Swiss but I live currently in Australia. I’m therefore trying all sorts of toddler food from different countries. Léo seems to enjoy muffins A LOT. And if you do mini-sized ones, they fit nicely into the lunch box. And you can freeze them as a quick solution for stressful days…
    His favourites are

(attention: the recipe uses too much salt for my taste. And we add more carots and zucchini. And they are equally good without the salami).

thank you for the link tina! those savoury muffins look great – will have to try them out sometime very soon. :)
sometime last year i followed a suggestion of a reader and we did some zucchini pancakes which jon loved http://tigeladas.wordpress.com/2008/09/26/week-36-pumpkin-time/

we have done muffins for jon’s lunchboxes but not too often… (see “muffins & biscuits” in side bar.

gracias tina – tienes un blog?

Yes, I have a blog. But it contains only private photos and stupid stories for the families back in Switzerland. It’s written in German and French (depending on the author – my partner is a French speaking Swiss).
I discovered your blog a couple of months ago and I enjoy it very much. I love cooking and currently I’m obsessed with my toddler’s childcare lunch. Thankfully he eats almost everything – but he doesn’t like too much repetition and I therefore need a huge amount of recipes for different food.
Anyway, I shut up now. Time to go back to work. I wish you a lovely weekend!
